Hello, Scott Rice fam, I’m back!

I’m excited to be a new part of the team, but it feels a bit like coming home – my first big gig was in this very place as a Design Intern in 2014 while wrapping up my studies in Interior Design at Kansas State. I even got to experience the Manhattan office when it was just getting started.

Now, I’m thrilled to be a member of the sales team focused on developing new business in the KC region. In fact, the stellar sales team here was my first exposure to a career path outside of a traditional commercial designer, and it stuck.

I spent my first few years after college at a local architecture firm, designing for a mix of residential and hospitality projects, while also working to advance the client reach of the firm in a business development role. I loved learning about each unique project lifecycle, from city planning, through development and construction. From there, I found a fascination with the advancements of pre-fab construction.

A shot of KC leadership group, Top Gun Kansas City, learning from local legends and executives at Rockhurst University School of Business this summer.

I am a busybody and love to get involved in new things. Currently I enjoy serving on a few professional and charitable committees, am learning the great game of golf, and soaking up KC’s latest and greatest in the food & drink scene with new and old friends.

Outside of work, you can find me hanging out with my husband of 2 years, Tucker. We are new homeowners — diligently chipping away at renovating a 112-year old home in the midtown area. We are learning all sorts of DIYs from the depths of the internet and welcome any tips and tricks! (But really, send ALL of them).

In whatever spare time is left over, we like to travel, experience many events and concerts, and cheer on the milestones of our friends and family. My creative itch is still at work though – I’ve spent the last couple of years working on illustration and calligraphy projects for loved ones and local organizations.

It will be so fun to work with so many of you and support our mission. You can find me being a sponge in the free address areas of the Work/Life Center in the near future!

Cheers!
