Here is a little background about me!

I am a western Kansas native. I grew up in the small towns of Scott City, Colby, and Hays.  I graduated from Hays High School and attended Fort Hays State University and obtained a BS in Elementary Education in 2011.  This is where I met the amazing gal that you have all grown to know and respect, Michal Whitney.

After graduating college, I moved to Emporia, KS where I worked as a teacher in both Kindergarten and First Grade.  In 2015, I made the move to Kansas City to be closer to city life, my boyfriend, and close friends.  I spent time working for the Turner School District and the Shawnee Mission School District where I taught Kindergarten and 2nd grades.  I am so thankful for all of the experience that I gained as a teacher and I can’t wait to apply it to my new position at Scott Rice.

On a more personal note, I got married to my husband Austin Roth in October of 2017.  Austin, is actually cousins with Stacy Roth’s husband, Justin.  Austin, myself, and our cat (Eli) moved into our first home in June of 2018 and we have been remodeling parts of it in our spare time.  I love to talk about DIY projects!  We added a dog to our family in June of 2019 her name is Mabel.  Puppy training has been an adventure but we couldn’t imagine life without her!

It has been a busy couple of years, but when I do have spare time I love to spend it with family and friends.  I love going to see live music, musicals/plays, and sporting events (GO CHIEFS, and WILDCATS).  I am also getting back into the world of books and have set a personal goal to read 12+ books for FUN this year.  Let me know if you are reading anything great!

I look forward to working with and learning from all of you as I navigate this new career path!
