Tell us a little bit about yourself:  Not much to tell. Born and raised in KCK, graduated from Piper High School, started working here in 1986. Got married, bought a house, moved to Olathe, that didn’t work out so well for me. Moved back to KCK about 12 years ago and that brings us to the present time.
What is your role at SR:  Distribution Manager, that seems to come with lots of responsibilities.
Before working here, what was the most interesting job you heldI only had two jobs before this, I guess my most interesting would be I worked at a automotive shop.

Hobbies/interests outside of work:  I spend a lot of my free time in the garage working on whatever car I feel needs attention at the time (there is usually music & beer involved). I enjoy working in the yard, going to the races, grilling, going to the gym, going to live music venues & if I can find enough free time I enjoy riding my mountain bike.

Favorite movie/book:   Probably not surprised that I don’t read much, I find it boring. Movies, I don’t think I have one favorite, probably two that I can watch over & over would be Pulp Fiction or American Graffiti.

Hidden Talents?

I don’t know if it’s a talent, I’m fairly mechanical, I’m good at fixing stuff.

Greatest Achievement:

I guess it would be when I was kid I would day dream about the badass hotrod I wanted to own some day. By the time I was 15 I managed the save enough lawn mowing money to buy a rusted out 72 Nova, over 36 years later I made into what it is today. I have won several awards at car shows and made a few trips down the track with it. Not many guys ever get to own their dream car, I actually built mine.

What is your most treasured possession?  My 72 Nova, my 76 Chevy Truck, both of which I have completely rebuilt from the ground up & my 70 Chevelle that I just recently inherited from my father. I have plans to rebuilt it in the near future, I thought it would make a nice tribute to my dad.

What did you want to be when you grew up:  When I was kid I wanted to be a race car driver.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?  Over the years here I have made several friends from work that I associate with outside of work, some still work here & some don’t. It makes it a little less of a chore coming to work when you are with friends.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?   Obviously my cars.
