Tell us a littleBit about yourself: I grew up in Warsaw, Indiana and attended college in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have a BA in Professional Writing with a minor in Public Relations. While in college, I was a cheerleader and the photo editor of our school newspaper. I moved to Kansas in January 2010 and have made it my home. I am married to Devin and we have a 5 year old, Liam, and another baby boy on the way, due in May.
Role at SR: Project Coordinator for CIC (Construction Division)
Most interesting job: shipping tracker for an air cargo company, grounds crew for a golf course, Director of a youth center/concert coordinator, Bookstore manager/book buyer/barista.
Hobbies/interests: I love musicals! I also love reading, coffee, yoga, and crafts.
Favorite book/movie: Can I give you my top 10 books? 🙂 The Harry Potter series, His Dark Materials series, The Bell Jar, The Giver series, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, The Great Gatsby…yeah, I like to read! Movie: Pretty much any movie that is an adaptation of a musical, The Harry Potter Series.
Hidden talents: I was in the high school drum line when I was in middle school and high school. Our drum line was featured on a kid’s Saturday morning TV program when I was in 7th grade (my first year in the drum line). I also did a commercial for a local cable company when I lived in Fort Wayne. I was also in a few community theater stage productions while in Fort Wayne.
Greatest achievement: Becoming a mom!
Most treasured possession: My little family!
What do you like about your job? My favorite thing about my job is doing estimate take-offs. I basically get to color plans, which is pretty cool!
What is something you couldn’t live without? Laughter! I am lucky to have two major goof-balls in my life that make me laugh on a daily basis.
