Tell us a little bit about yourself: I was born in Quincy, IL, and raised in the northeast portion of Missouri, mainly the Kirksville area. Next year will be my 18th year at Scott Rice. I have lived in the Kansas City Metro area for about 30 years now, which is why I am now celebrating 28 years with my beautiful wife Becky. We have 4 children and 8 grandchildren and have just purchased the house that my wife has been in love with for years.
What is your role at SR: Furniture installation supervisor
Before working here, what was the most interesting job you held: I don’t know if you would call any of it interesting,but I began working at an early age on the farm and the sawmill that my father owned. Then began working in construction, building residential housing, for the next 20 years, before I began working for Scott Rice in 1998.
Hobbies/interests outside of work: Computers, Electronics, Hunting, Reloading/ Ballistics, Hobby machinist/gunsmith.
Favorite movie/book: Movie – Battleship, Book – The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings
Greatest achievement: Becoming a father and grandfather to my wonderful children and grandchildren.
Most treasured possession: My gun collection, especially my grandfathers rifle that was produced at the turn of the last century.
What did you want to be when you grew up: A Missouri State Highway Patrolman, but I had to face the fact that I was just too damn short!
What is your biggest pet peeve: Is when I observe someone not performing at the best of their ability.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without: My beautiful wife Becky, she has been my best friend and confidant. I can’t imagine my life without her, she has stood by me through all of the ups and downs.
