My name is Jillian Lilek and I am from Greeley, Colorado. I graduated from Kansas State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and am happy to continue to represent that royal purple with a few others in the Scott Rice office!
Growing up in Colorado, I was partial to the outdoors. I love camping, hiking, boating, swimming, paddle boarding; if it’s outdoors, I love it! Opposite of that, I grew up dancing competitively, loving fashion, and traveling to new locations around the world. I am always seeking exciting beginnings because that’s what makes life fun!
Upon graduation, I accepted a position in New York City. I like to say that I moved from the “little apple” (Manhattan, Kansas) to the “big apple” (Manhattan, New York). Through this company, I did high-end residential design for private properties around the country and some International. My focus was on the Bahamas property; in which I was lucky enough to travel to frequently.
I loved the East Coast and everything that came with it – the people, the parks, THE FOOD! I was very happy settling down in NY, however one thing was missing – my fiancé, who was back working in Kansas City.
Heath and I met at Kansas State through a mutual friend. After finding out we both shared a love for animated movies, the rest was history. Heath was able to visit me several times throughout the years I was in NY, but I couldn’t convince him to permanently move – who wouldn’t want to move toward the chaos?? (hehe) We got married in Denver on September 23, 2017 and it truly was the most perfect Colorado day – rain and all. Following that, we began our new exciting journey in Kansas City.
We are currently living downtown and enjoying all there is to offer. Although we don’t have any kiddos yet, we did just bring in a new member to our little family. Meet Cody, our golden retriever puppy! He is our “little auction puppy”, as we got him at a live auction charity event.
Every life event has brought me to where I am now, which is beginning yet another exciting adventure at Scott Rice. I’m very excited to be here and am looking forward to learning more about each one of you and the company. Thank you all for your kind welcome!
