October 8th was our 3rd Annual Education Symposium highlighting research and insights from Steelcase Education along with “TED”ucation Talks showcasing local projects. The event was held in the Learn Lab at Scott Rice’s Work/Life Center and we had over 50 educators, administrators and designers in attendance from across the region.
Dr. Michelle Schmitz, Principal and Deb Caywood, 5th grade, presented the project based learning community at EPIC Elementary in Liberty, MO.

Matt Heinrich, Associate Vice President for Facilities and Technology shared the success of Rockhurst University’s new classroom building, Arrupe Hall.
Steelcase Education’s Jim Moore delivered observations and insights about libraries. These findings led to the development of products like Brody and Thread.
