Color Art and Scott Rice Sales team came together April 6th – 7th at Big Cedar Lodge Resort in Branson Missouri to share business plans and strategies as well as celebrate successes from 2016. Some major highlights of the weekend included:

Dinner Thursday Night

After we arrived and settled into our rooms we met at the dock to catch pontoon boats. To our delight, we were being taken to a small private island for a picnic dinner, where both Scott Rice and Color Art casually meet each other and their spouses. After the dinner event, many were having such a fun time that they decided to head over to Buzzard Bar to socialize just a bit longer before they called it a night.

Friday Meeting

Friday morning started bright and early with breakfast followed by a company meeting. The meeting started with a fun get to know Scott Rice/Color Art activity followed by business recaps of 2016 by Ed Wills and Gary Mindel. We concluded with strategy presentations on Education presented by Stacy Roth and Healthcare presented by Chris Hoffman.

Big Cedar Complementary Activities

Once the company meeting concluded everyone selected a Friday afternoon activity.  Optional activities included golfing at the Top of the Rock, Bass Fishing, Skeet Shooting or Spa Services.

Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail

One of my personal favorite activities from the weekend was our cave tour on golf carts. We were allowed (once we signed the paperwork) to take golf carts on a beautiful two-and-a-half mile ride along the Top of the Rock Lost Canyon Nature Trail scenic path through the property at Big Cedar Lodge. The best part, by far, was the views of stunning rock formations, Table Rock Lake and Lost Canyon Cave. Once we entered the cave we were greeted by a bearded bartender who offered drink options like John L.’s Hoop-Dee-Do, Cannonballs, Bat’s Bite, Beer and Arnold Palmers. Waterfalls, natural rock formations and covered Amish bridges dotted the trek.

Dinner & Awards

After our cave and nature tour, we were shuttled to the “End of the Trail” All-American Wine Cellar for dinner, drinks and awards. Scott Rice and Color Art Leadership recognized their top sales people for 2016.

Overall the retreat was a successful 2 days that brought both companies together. Many ideas were shared and the camaraderie built up between the two companies was exciting to see. I was honored and excited to be a part of the event!

Below is a compilation of photos gathered from the group to share.
